Beauty: Summer Ready Makeup with a Glow

My current makeup routine involves trying to embrace the dewy look. In the past, in the warmer months I have tried to mattify my skin because it was hot so I was sweating and then I applied more powder. Recently, I’ve been more interested in taking care of my skin and taking care not to clog the pores. I’ve tried to make my skin more luminescent and I’m seeing the impact of this on my skin.

Natural ‘no-makeup’ glam

Here, I have applied a bb cream with and SPF 30, filled in my brows, applied brown mascara and a lip balm, then applied L’Oreal illuminating drops.

Having my caramel balayage done on my hair has made me embrace the warmer tones in my makeup. Especially love the colour contrast against a black Tee.

This pic, I have done the same makeup on my face, and then used L’Oreal Paris Color Riche in the shade Rosewood on my lips. I used the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette on the eyes and finished with an Anastasia Beverly Hills gel liner in the colour Jet.

I’m so excited to embrace my natural dewy skin this summer. The weather at the moment as I’m writing this is so rainy and it will stay like that for a few days! British summer 😦 but I like having the option of a more natural glam without my makeup caked on too much even when it is raining. My skin feels clear and blemish free so that means I need to use even less makeup to cover up, so it has a positive feedback loop (biology reference here!)

I would love to know what your summer makeup routine is! and if you have any suggested products for creating a dewy finish.
