Welcome to my blog

I’m so excited to share with you my life through my instagram page and through my blog posts. I will mainly be posting about my thoughts on any products that I use. That could be either hair/make-up/beauty products, or just anything really…

A quick bit of background on me:

I am a secondary school science teacher, I have been married for a few years, but no children yet. Watch this space? Who knows. If it’s meant to be, it will happen. Generally speaking I’m a bit of a nerd and proud of it! This will probably come through in some of the pics already on my instagram account.

I come from a big family, I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters, and am lucky to have lots of cousins, nieces and nephews, and extended family that I am very close with. I like to think that this helps me be a better person.

At the moment, I have three things on my mind…

  1. My hair – I have been trying to grow my hair veryyyyy long for such a long time, but I of course have to get it trimmed regularly for it to stay healthy. But I’m also easily influenced so when I see other people with short hair and it’s so easy to manage, I really want to chop mine!
  2. My home decor – past few years I have not paid any attention to this aspect of my life at all. Recently I have been looking at magazines, watching YouTube videos and looking at Instagram accounts for inspo, plus using pinterest. I’m not actually a home-owner yet, so I kind of felt like there was no point before, but now I feel like I should make an effort and do what I can! Today I spent several hours putting up a curtain rail, ironing curtains and then hemming them (twice!) to get the right drop. More of that to come I’m sure.
  3. Weightloss – I am terrible at dieting. I cannot ban myself from any type of food, and I eat wayyyy too much bread (and everything else). This said, I recently started going to the gym and trying to get back into a more active lifestyle and wake my body up because I had become quite lazy! I love going to the gym, and would go everyday if my muscles (or lack of) could handle it, and if there were enough hours in the day. I’m still working out a routine but will share that if I start to see results.

p.s. I know my eyebrows are so pointy. I have tried to grow them out for many years but that’s just my shape and I am embracing it because I cannot get them straighter or more rounded – they just won’t grow in that space just next to the point.

  1. Welcome Amna! Oh my! Your hair has grown so long in three years! You are a beautiful young lady! 🙂 As for me, I pretty much eat all vegetables, fruits, beans, lentils, grains, nuts, seeds and occasional sweets. I don’t eat animals or animal products.

    1. Thanks hun! I have actually cut my hair now! Look at my Instagram pics and you’ll see the change… but it grows very quickly so it will be long again in no time!
